A country rich in culture and history, it's also blessed with one of the most exciting cuisines in the world.  This series is a unique fusion of travel and cookery programming.  In order to get 'under the skin' of the country we travel in search of the best cooking the Kingdom has to offer - visiting the hill tribes of the far north, tranquil villages along the mighty Mekong River, the frantic and frenetic capital, Bangkok, the lush islands off the coasts, and the near-deserted beaches of the south. At each destination we get to see and taste local specialties, from the unusual like Giant Mekong Catfish, raw prawns in lime juice, and sweet and sour crocodile, to better known dishes like Thai Fried Noodles (Pad Thai) and Green Curry with Chicken (Gaeng Kheo Wan Gal).
