It’s a difficult goal to achieve, but what would happen if such a dream was offered to 5 extremely competitive young men from various walks of life? Riding To The Top, a docu/reality series, will explore the complications, fun and tension that occur when 5 young men are chosen to live and compete with one another to become a professional snowboarder. Set against the vibrant and picturesque settings of Whistler B.C, the audience will be entertained as they watch the men compete, live and party together. With the temptations of girls and the night life, sparks are bound to fly between the dynamic personalities as the guys battle both on and off the slopes. A panel of 3 professionals will constantly critique the men on all aspects of their character and skills as they try to balance working and partying towards their dream. Hosted by a young, knowledgeable presenter, the series will be an exciting mix of popular snowboarding culture, music and lifestyle. Riding To The Top will appeal to a wide audience; even those not interested in snowboarding will be enthralled by the night life and personalities of the men as they compete for their dream.

A new series that will feature the musicians, producers and engineers who produce music for Tattoo Music, one of North America’s most well respected recording studios. They’ve produced and co-written songs for artists including Kiss, Van Morrison, Alanis Morisette, The Guess Who, etc. etc. The concept is to feature a different band in each episode that is trying to cut a hit track in the studio. Rock stars tend to have huge egos, while producers tend to have a precise vision as to what they want to hear and are extremely blunt in expressing it. This makes for unbelievable drama and tension. The world has seen many shows that build the relationship between the audience and the performer but this show will build the relationship between the audience and the song itself. Viewers will feel associated with the music when they hear the song on the radio or see the music video on television as they’ll feel they were there in the studio witnessing the trials and tribulations of an often frustrating dramatic recording session. The show will feature artists from several large recording labels including Warner Music and Rescue Records.


 

BROKEN ENGLISH     (13 x 30')

Broken English is a comedy set in an ESL (English as a Second Language) academy where the teachers’ understanding of wholesome values is weaker than the students’ grasp of the language. Our protagonists are a motley crew of international teachers; from a soccer hooligan to a womanizer, a tree-hugger to a metro-sexual. Their ESL school, named IESS (International English Speaking School) is developing a deserved reputation for being “The McDonalds” of English language academies. Steve Bell is the penny-pinching proprietor of this multi-cultural debauchery and is worried that his international school might lose its accreditation. Steve has one final hope in saving his business. A Japanese agent, who is representing one hundred foreign students, looks to place them at the best ESL school. The agent will base his choice on a series of student evaluations conducted on the first and last day of the semester. As a result, Steve hires a new ass-whipping academic supervisor to force his incompetent teaching staff to either shape up or ship out. This creates added pressure on the students to improve their English skills. In the last episode, the future of IESS hangs in the balance of the Japanese agent’s final decision.

The series will educate viewers about the genre and define it through the eyes of those who are passionate about this form of music: those who play it. Talkin’ Blues is not a documentary about the history of the blues, rather, it is about the current state of the blues as they relate to historical perspective. The show is the follow up to the thirty-nine popular episodes that have been aired on BRAVO! Canada, this time focusing more on African American blues artists, with at least 7 of the 13 episodes featuring artists of color. The majority of the content is shot with one camera and avoids flashy technique or attention-getting devices. It is simple, direct, honest and to the point – much like the blues itself.

Every episode will transport our hosts to an exciting environment, which co-ordinates with the product. Whether a games arcade is used to promote the latest video game or a DJ competition is the backdrop for a new MP3 player the energetic settings will attract and entertain. The hot products will be subject to rigorous testing as our young hosts investigate a variety of aspects from special features to which celebrities are sporting the latest gadget. Each episode will focus on one product as the presenters examine four sections of consumer concern: “How It Looks”, “How It Works”, “Where Can I Get One” and “Who Has One?” With a fast paced soundtrack, music-video style CG animation and current information on the latest trends, Cool Buys For Cool Guys will be an informative and essential part of any young guy’s purchasing power.

Our series will delve into the passion that these artisans bring to their lifelong works of art and we’ll also experience the excitement and pleasure that their workmanship brings to the eventual owner, most of whom are among the world’s most wealthy and discerning.

 


SINGLE MINGLE

How do you get three sexy women with a horrible track record for meeting the right guy hooked up with Mr. Right? Easy…you get them in touch with the Single Mingle hair stylist and throw them into the perfect setting for love. Our characters will be given help from the stylist as well as the audience (through often hilarious pickup lines sent via SMS or email). Our singles will be thrown into 11 different dating settings. These will include speed dating on board a bus while going bar hopping, singles cruises, roller skating disco dating, everyday situations like dog walking, working out at a gym, etc. After each date the girls will have to pick their favourite guy but will not be able to re-connect until they’ve finished all 11 events. In the last episode (studio based) the girls will be able to invite 3 guys out of their top 11 picks, one of which they have to choose. As the singles have such a terrible track record the audience (through SMS and email) along with the stylist shall have an equal vote as to who the girls should be with. The decided couples will be rewarded with a free cruise where our production team will capture the highlights of the trip for a 1 hour special.

The re-production of the haute cuisine of the time will be created by renowned international chefs, based on extensive historical research.  A jester, or butler character will span the time and spatial distance between the modern kitchen and the historic dinner banquet by giving an inside look at the festive proceedings. Well-known gastronomes, costumed as invited guests, provide criticism of the food preparation and presentation.

The suggested Feasts have been selected to represent important stages in the history and evolution of modern international cuisine, while re-creating exciting moments in the political and social history of the world.

Would you be conned into buying the Eiffel Tower?  How about the Brooklyn Bridge.  Maybe the world's most famous painting, The Mona Lisa, is more to your taste?

Trickery and lies know no borders.  The World’s Greatest Scams and Hoaxes travels the globe to bring the most outrageous and compelling deceptions to television.

In 1911 the famous Mona Lisa painting was stolen by a Brazilian nobleman, Alberto Bisente.  His brilliantly simple plan was not to sell the real painting, but to con six nefarious art-lovers into buying forgeries he had secretly commissioned.  The plan and the robbery went flawlessly.  The French Surete de Police had no leads.  The Brazilian had committed the perfect crime.  He sold his forgeries and allowed an Italian accomplice to keep the original.  The Brazilian returned home a very rich man.  Later that year, the real Mona Lisa turned up in Italy and was returned to the Louvre--or was it one of the forgeries?
