FEB 2007 - ITN Source Secures Exclusive Representation Deal with Nine Network

LONDON, February 26: ITN Source, formerly ITN Archive, has struck an exclusive worldwide distribution deal with Australia's Nine Network for the representation of the commercial broadcaster's complete news catalog, including content from National Nine News, Nightline, A Current Affair, The Today Show, Sunday and Business Sunday programming as well as locally-produced 60 Minutes stories.

Nine Network has appointed ITN Source to represent, market and license clips from its national and regional news archives, which includes unique coverage of the Beaconsfield Miners' rescue; what is believed to be the only interview with cult leader David Koresh before the Waco siege; dramatic pictures of Australia's bushfires and native wildlife; historic material of the Japanese midget submarine relic; and exclusive footage of Australian celebrities such as Kylie Minogue and Olivia Newton-John.

"We are delighted to be representing this wealth of content from Australia's most popular commercial broadcaster," said Sue Thexton, the MD of ITN Source. "ITN Source already represents the world's largest and most diverse selection of footage libraries, but this latest international partnership extends our catalogue so that our global customer base can now enjoy the best in Australian footage. It also provides an unrivalled choice of momentous and creative content from one single, convenient source."

ITN Source provides over 800,000 hours of footage that ranges from news to drama, celebrity, comedy, music, wildlife, natural history and film.
