Presenting our largest and most diverse roster of titles yet, Canamedia enjoyed a productive and successful MIPTV 2005, meeting with buyers every half hour for the duration of the market. Buyer attendance was up, broadcasters were acquiring new programs with enthusiasm and many deals were set in motion over the course of the 4-day market.

Canamedia has inked a deal with Defiance Distribution for the exclusive distribution rights of their catalogue to Canadian broadcasters.  Since 1997 Defiance has distributed over 2300 hours of programming around the world.  Canamedia will be the place for such programs as IFC's Global Domination (1 x 180' or 3 x 60'), Howard Lederer's Secrets of No Limit Hold'Em (3 x 90') over 70 hours of Extreme Sports series.  The Defiance catalogue also includes many other series and documentaries.  Please see our Agency catalogue for a complete list or programs from Defiance Distrbution.

Canamedia also capitalized on the market to meet with several International Producers and Distributors in order to acquire additional titles for our ever-expanding catalogue. We are also focusing on developing more original series and documentaries in conjunction with our Producers, and look forward to inking many new commissions and pre-buyers with broadcasters in 2005/2006.
