DROP IN

13 x 30'

Drop In is a first of its kind “free ride” mountain-bike travel extreme series.  Audiences experience the behind the scenes life and get to know these two-wheeled athletes who live adventure sports – on the edge.

“Free-ride” is defined by the rider’s different personalities and style – the Drop In traveling family.  The freedom that defines Free-ride is expressed through the different riding styles of the athletes.

The ‘family’ consists of five Free-ride mountain bike riders, their unique styles on and off the bike, and their ability to push each other far beyond the comfort zone. Some can bicycle from tree branch to branch, others can jump off building’s roofs, whilst a few can literally ride off cliff edges.

The three-man video crew and five athletes live and travel together on a converted city bus for 3 months of adventure during each 13 episode series.  These modern day gladiators share blood, sweat, tears, heartache and laughter, insights, triumphs and even tragedy – an addictive recipe for adventure entertainment.

The series follows the lives of our professional riders and crew as they travel throughout the summer in search of bigger and better adventures in some of nature’s most beautiful, remote and rarely filmed locations throughout western Canada.  From the deserts of Drumheller, Alberta, to the rainforests of Vancouver Island, this band of young adventurers log over 3,000 kilometers in each epic journey.

Each member of the Drop In family experience breathtaking new environments, push their limits and make new friends.  And, they will be working hard to bring professional recognition to this growing adventure industry that is their life blood.   While many of us focus on traditional goals – high paying jobs, nice cars and annual holidays, mountain bikers sell bike parts for food and rent and put every dollar they make into two wheels that take them to extraordinary physical and emotional places – on their terms.
